  Teacher feature- Rick Sanders -He started working here in 2009 and hopes to retire here. He enjoys working here and Loves his subject. He teaches P.E. Health and athletic training as well as teaching he coaches. Mr Sanders coaches cross country and boys basketball he coached a winning girls cross country team this year the girls team came in first in state and his boys basketball team got 3rd at state! -His favorite color is blue and his Middle name L his favorite animal is a horse he loves to go backpacking on horses in his spare time and he just loves being outdoors. He loves living in a small town and loves any outdoor activity. His all time favorite sport is football and he has a family he is married with five kids. He is overall a great teacher and coach!!!!!! Softball: Softball  won Friday against American Falls Varsity 17 - 3 and JV 19-16 and has 3 home games this week 28th against Firth, 30th agains

  Baseball: Baseball won their game this weekend 14-0 against American Falls! Lakettes: Earlier last week the lakettes had their banquet on thursday. Then they finished up tryouts on monday the 19th for next year. Teacher Feature: The teacher feature of the week is Mr. Wilding!   Golf  The golf team went to American Falls on March 31st. This week they have two meets. Their first meet will be on Tuesday, April 6 in Snake River at 11 am. Then they have another meet on Thursday in Highland at 10 am. We wish them the best of luck! Track The track team goes to a meet on April 8th which is a Thursday. The meet is in Murtagh at 2 pm. Wish them good luck before they compete! Baseball: Baseball heads to a game this Saturday at St. Anthony to face South Fremont. Good luck boys! Bear Lake Strong!  Softball: Softball has a jam-packed week full of games this week. They head to Malad Wednesday and then head to a tournament for the weekend on Thursday at Glenns Ferry. Spring has Sprung!

  Cheer: Cheer went to Boise over the weekend to complete. They did not place in the top three but still did amazing! You go Ladies!!! Tryouts for next year will be held on April 27-30. They will start at 6-30 pm. Softball - Varsity played great in Firth and Wendell last week  winning 18 to 3 in firth and 14 to 3 in Wendell and losing 9 to 8 in Preston and the JV losing 13 to 15 in Preston but having an amazing comeback. This week they are playing in Idaho Falls on Friday. Lakettes - The ladies finished up their season at districts at American Falls taking 3rd place in hip-hop and 4th in lyrical but sadly they did not make it to state. The Lakettes are going over to the middle school April 8th to go perform for the upcoming freshman class. They are then holding tryouts April 12th, 13th, 15th, and 19th from 5-7 in the A.J. Cheerleaders Head to State: GO BEARS!!!

  GO BEARS!!! Cheer: Cheer has an exciting week. They are heading to Boise this weekend to compete in the State Championship tournament. Good luck ladies, we wish you the best of luck! Bear Lake Strong! Softball: The girls have their first game on Wednesday the 17th of March in Firth Idaho. The girls then play in Wendell which is a double header on March 18th and again in Preston on March 19th. Due to  school being canceled last year the previous prom decorations were not used. The same decorations will be used this year but no one has been told of the theme of them yet. As cheer is getting wrapped up in these next couple of weeks they will be heading to Boise for Cheer State on March 19th, 2021. They will be taking their Pom and Sideline routine as well as one of their stunt groups for the stunting category.   Boys Basketball- Last weekend the boys headed to Boise for their State Tournament. They played their first game Thursday and lost to a good fight against Ambrose. Friday they came back with a good fight and ended up beating New Plymouth putting them back into the game for Consolation, Saturday after a close game the entire time they ended up pulling out the fight to take the win over Melba. They ended up taking third place out of the entire state. Good Job Boys!  Softball starts next week and their first game is on Wednesday, March 17th in Firth, then they play March 18th in Wendell (which is a double header) and then on March 19th in Preston.
