Bulldogs, Tigers, and Bears, O My!!

Good news! Last week we had a lot of wins! 

Football last week went to Ririe on Friday and won 43-0. 



Volleyball won against Aberdeen won 3 sets to 0, but unfortunately lost to West Side lost 3 sets to 1. 

Our cross country team ran at West Side on Thursday and ran very well. 

Then, the FFA went to dairy cow judging on Thursday in West Side. The team took 3rd overall, and Kade Wells was the high placing individual placing 3rd in the district.

 

As for this week, Volleyball plays in Malad on Wednesday and in Grace on Thursday. 



Cross country runs home on Friday. Girls run at 1:00 and Boys run at 2:00. 



Football will play West Side on Friday here. 



If you are available, come support the Cross country, and the football game. It's jersey night so come prepared if you can!

Unrelated to sports, show choir is having auditions Wednesday and Thursday. If you want to audition, sign ups are available on slack. 

The service-a-thon will be on October 6th.. Some previous projects from this activity are painting the M hill, laying sod and painting curbs for the city. If you can your help would be very much appreciated!

Spring has Sprung!

  Cheer: Cheer went to Boise over the weekend to complete. They did not place in the top three but still did amazing! You go Ladies!!! Tryouts for next year will be held on April 27-30. They will start at 6-30 pm. Softball - Varsity played great in Firth and Wendell last week  winning 18 to 3 in firth and 14 to 3 in Wendell and losing 9 to 8 in Preston and the JV losing 13 to 15 in Preston but having an amazing comeback. This week they are playing in Idaho Falls on Friday. Lakettes - The ladies finished up their season at districts at American Falls taking 3rd place in hip-hop and 4th in lyrical but sadly they did not make it to state. The Lakettes are going over to the middle school April 8th to go perform for the upcoming freshman class. They are then holding tryouts April 12th, 13th, 15th, and 19th from 5-7 in the A.J.   Teacher feature- Rick Sanders -He started working here in 2009 and hopes to retire here. He enjoys working here and Loves his subject. He teaches P.E. Health and athletic training as well as teaching he coaches. Mr Sanders coaches cross country and boys basketball he coached a winning girls cross country team this year the girls team came in first in state and his boys basketball team got 3rd at state! -His favorite color is blue and his Middle name L his favorite animal is a horse he loves to go backpacking on horses in his spare time and he just loves being outdoors. He loves living in a small town and loves any outdoor activity. His all time favorite sport is football and he has a family he is married with five kids. He is overall a great teacher and coach!!!!!! The Greatest Comeback since the Twinkie: BLHS Blog Returns

   There is always a lot going on at Bear Lake High School, So we decided to put it all in a blog post to ma ke it simpler for everyone. The Bears beat number 1 seed West Side twice in two days to avenge an earlier district tournament loss to the pirates and take the District 5 championship. The Bears will play Ambrose in the first round of the state tournament Thursday March 4th. Cheer: To wrap up the last couple of weeks of the cheer season the girls will be heading to Boise for State March 19th.
