There is always a lot going on at Bear Lake High School, So we decided to put it all in a blog post to make it simpler for everyone. From sports, to the classroom, we are going to give weekly updates on what is happening in our school. Boy's Basketball: The bears return to state after a one-year absence where they won the consolation championship in their last appearance in 2019. The Bears beat number 1 seed West Side twice in two days to avenge an earlier district tournament loss to the pirates and take the District 5 championship. The Bears will play Ambrose in the first round of the state tournament Thursday March 4th.

Cheer: To wrap up the last couple of weeks of the cheer season the girls will be heading to Boise for State March 19th. They will be taking an individual Pom and Sideline routine as well as taking an individual stunt group for the stunting category.

Softball: The Bear Lake Lady Bears softball team had tryouts on Saturday, February 27, and again on Monday, March 1st. Along with Head Coach Hillier, and Assistant Coach Cook, we are excited to start this season out with a great set of girls on both the varsity and J.V. teams! We hope that you will come out and join us at our first game of the season on March 16th in Preston, and we wish them all the best of luck!

Baseball: The Bear Lake’s 2021 baseball team is coached by Coach Culver and Coach Laforya. Open gyms are on Wednesday and Thursday until tryouts which are Monday the 8th of March.

3/25 Green Canyon @ Logan 3pm and 5 pm

4/2-3 BuhI Tournament\

4/10 South Fremont @ St.Anthony

4/20 @ Preston

4/23 Malad @ Bear Lake

4/30 @ Soda Springs 

5/6Soda Springs @ Bear Lake 


Rodeo: We are pretty sure the first rodeo starts in May but we don't know for sure.


Golf: Golf had their first practice on March 1st. We are excited to start out the season. Their first meet will be on March 24 held in Aberdeen both JV/Varsity. We hope you the best of luck.


Track: Track had their first practice on March 2nd. They will have their first meet on Thursday, March 18th. It will be held at Snake River High School. We wish them the best of luck. We are excited to start out the season! Bear Lake Strong!

Obscure holidays: Dr.Seuss’s birthday/Dr.Seuss day held on March 2nd is a holiday held in honor of the famous children's book writer and creator of the "Cat in the Hat". Today he turns 87 years old.
