The Dirt On The Dirt, Can You Dig It?

The service-a-thon is today! Students will be completing service projects around the community. This is a great way to give back to the community. We have done some great service projects over the years and we encourage you to participate. In the past we have laid sod, made a retaining wall at the school, and have done many cleaning projects around town.

The Lady Bears beat Soda Springs in 3 straight sets. Then the Lady Bears next traveled to West Side on Thursday and avenged an early season loss on our home court by defeating the pirates in 3 straight sets. Following this weeks victories the Lady Bears moved up to the number 1 spot in the state rankings. The lady bears this week traveled to Aberdeen Tigers. They then host the Malad Dragonettes on Thursday for Senior's Night.

Bear Lake Bears are to travel to Malad on Friday night to take on the Dragons in football. JV starts at 4 and Varsity starts at 7. Go Bears!!

Last week the FFA traveled to Caribou County for the soil judging competition. The team placed 2nd place overall behind Preston thus qualifying for state with the high finisher being Ethan Declark.

Don't forget that Sadie Hawkins is on November 7th from 7-10 pm so start looking for dates!! For a little background info on Sadie Hawkins: this was an informal dance that the ladies invite the gentlemen too. The dance itself is named after a comic strip character, Sadie Hawkins. In the strip the Sadie

Hawkins day fell in November but it was never given am exact date. In the strip the unmarried women of the town got to pursue the bachelors and "marry up" with the ones that they caught.

XC was in Snake River last week. Congrats to Elise Kelsey who took 1st place!! Good luck to the Bears who will be in Pocatello for the Bob Conley Invitational.
